Life is a gift. We didn’t ask to be born when and where we were. We didn’t choose our parents or our life circumstance. When it comes down to it, we have no control over when this life we live ends. And yet, between the coming and leaving of life, there is so much that we can and should, do and be.
Every new day is like a brand new package to be unwrapped. Sometimes the day brings very ordinary things, like socks. Sometimes the day brings something exciting and longed for, like a shiny new bike. But the gift of each day, no matter what it is, can be used to bring hope to the hopeless, joy to the desperate, and kindness to the forgotten. God gives us the day, it’s up to us to choose how we will use this gift to make the world better than it was yesterday.
How will you use your gift of today?
Live your life while you have it. Life is a splendid gift. There is nothing small in it. – Florence Nightingale
